Why do people rush to block because they disagree with someone? Do you do it? Why?

I've noticed the vast majority of people that have blocked me or baleeted their comments do so with an insult as a parting shot then burn the forest to hide their tracks.

I've blocked quite a few people here, mainly for trolling others or me, posts about inappropriate content that doesn't interest me, those that have verbally attacked me unnecessarily,those that started as friends then started sending unsolicited content.
Does that make me trigger happy probably for some but I come here with good intentions if someone disturbs my peace and it can't he resolved once I've told them bye bye.

@Peppa Yeah, that's too trigger happy for me. There has to be a happy medium between letting trolls run wild and blocking for every little reason.

@specialED1256 well I presume so but by who I wouldn't really know. I have regulars I talk to and I really like and they're still around. Anyone else is a bonus and if they blocked me its for the best.

@EllaDisenchanted don't get me wrong I have my settings on no adult content. But it's the odd few that try and not trigger the adult flag and their posts are vulgar. I chose not to see those things and now they're pushing he boundaries.

@specialED1256 well I can't really speak for others but if anyone knows me and reads my profile if they chose to not respect my wishes then they will get blocked. It's as simple as that. Life is tough enough as it is I come here to vent and relax if that's being prevented why would I continue to struggle with that person. That crosses over to me forcing my views on them and that's bullying I'm no bully.
