Do you ever find people interesting from a distance ?

I think getting to know them would just ruin it

The fantasy is always more romanticized and you have more control over it. Reality is usually a good ruiner of that, it's up to you to think who's worth the risk and who's better off remaining as a fantasy.
@SW-User there’s like one out of a million people who are great and then the rest just ruin everything. So you never know if you’re going to get that one or the million choose wisely

@Stark I agree. It's also the curse of having high standards.. you often end up disappointed. But maybe it's okay to be disappointed sometimes, cause other times, no matter how few, the reality ends up being even more satisfying than the fantasy. It's all a gamble, but some slot machines radiate brighter than others.
@SW-User that’s true 🙂 I definitely needed to hear that.

@Stark I'm glad you found it helpful. It's definitely a complex topic with no easy answers..

Thank you for BA. :)
@SW-User yeah, there were many great answers. I haven’t been myself in a really long time, I’ve had a negative outlook on anything and everything even this topic is pretty negative or atleast I made it negative. Your answer was just really positive and spot on, maybe people just rather the fantasy over reality because it’s just easier and makes more sense but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better.

@Stark If you haven't watched it already, there's a very good exchange on this very topic in Good Will Hunting, I think it says it perfectly.

Fantasies have their own consequences too, though. They also can be too hard to get over if you've invested in them so much for too long.

There's living in dreaming but there's also living in reality, it's okay to do both, it can be a neat balance. :)
