How much of what happens to you in this life is your fault?

How much of it is someone else's? How much of it is no one's?

99% of what happens to me is my fault; procrastination is the bane of my existence. I'm just far too lazy to actually deal with getting stuff done ahead of time. I've been trying to learn to take responsibility like most of my peers, but I honestly just feel like I'm no different from a certain political figure that we all know who keeps doing stupid sh*t and refuses to apologize.

@Iamofnothing I don't mean to talk down to you, but at your age, the fact that you're even self-aware enough to be this hard on yourself means you'll probably be fine in the long run. You have time to improve. Don't beat yourself up. You'll do more damage in the long run by expecting too much to quickly than you would if you improve slowly and forgive yourself.

Gary Vaaynerchuck said "People over-estimate what they can do in a year, and underestimate what they can do in a decade." Working hard is part of the recipe, but being consistent is just as important as how hard you work.
