Why do people go on cruises just to do all the things they can do on land?

@SW-User I got to hang out with the hot first officer and eat dinner with the captain, and I could explore the ship. I was on the bridge a lot and they showed me how it all worked. I was the only passenger on that trip and had almost an entire deck to myself. There was lots of time to read books and watch the sea go by, and let the jangling in my brain calm down.

I'd be bored af on a cruise.
