I can understand if you want to interact and share thoughts and express your creativity on here without such personal assumptions and feelings being involved; if such things are spoiling your experience on here.

It can be easy for people to assume or imagine that such things are there when they're not, notably when much about the different aspects of communications (such as body language) aren't involved--such as over the internet on a social networking site. I think in many instances, people "see" what they choose to see or want to see--or jump to inappropriately or inadequately qualified conclusions based on little evidence (or something that may be interpreted as evidence).

What advise to give...? Maybe it would be helpful if people included explicitly in their headline or on their profile that, for instance, if they answer your questions or interact with you a lot, it does not mean that they're romantically interested--"please do not assume that".

I can imagine that it may be necessary to do such a thing (as more explicitly address the issue) if the precedent has already been set on such a site as this of other people behaving romantically towards one another, doing like things that may easily be interpreted (like a blanket stereotype) to be evidence of similar romantic interest.
