Your perception of the person giving said constructive criticism.
If you don't have a good rapport with your immediate senior, it's always going to be hard work and you'll never feel comfortable in each others company.

When the giver of criticism can't receive it in equal measure.
When there's nothing you could do to please the critic that he won't just find something else to criticise.

Perception.
MrSquishy · 56-60, M
@ButterFly2023 Actually that would suggest that abuse is only something perceived...Do you really think that?
ButterFly2023 · 22-25, M
@MrSquishy That's my life, I'm different to the norm I guess. Some people insult or question that, in either case if it's relevant I make it work for me. Not sure if that answers your comment but it answers it for me.

Maybe a baseball bat to the head? Something like that.
MrSquishy · 56-60, M
@5thApprentice That would be a threat more than abuse wouldn't it?
5thApprentice · 31-35, M
@MrSquishy Not unless someone actually hit you with a baseball bat. That would be abuse. 🤷🏽♂️
