It's worse when you don't remember where you're supposed to know them from, or when they were awful to you, and it's not socially acceptable to say "I remember you, dickhole" but one of their 7 kids is with them, so you can't.

@Randall I worked with some back-stabber at another job and when they saw me working at the store a few years after I retired they came up and a couple of them hugged me and told me how hard I had worked at the other job. Geez if they'd been that kind when I was working with them it would have made my job a lot better...

@cherokeepatti They probably miss having you there, because once you left, they had to pick up some slack. Good for you, and hope you're enjoying retirement. Sounds like you earned it!
