Why is it difficult for us to take our own advice?

I'm good at giving people advice and reassurances. However, there are times when I struggle with the same issues, but my own words mean nothing to me. Why should I expect that others would listen if I don't listen to myself?

Self doubt. We doubt our own words to ourselves.

@SW-User it's like your mind has a shield against your own words.

@SW-User exactly. Odd how that advice is the same we give others so freely and genuinely to help them, yet we give it to ourselves and all of a sudden that advice sucks and should be questioned. 🤷
