Is it bad if I'm jealous of someone that seems like a better version of me??

I just met a guy that is exactly what and how I always wanted to be, except that he is in that way naturally. I feel like I could start to act more like he, but wouldn't it be wrong?? Like, selling my soul to the devil, or whatever?? What you guys think of it??
