what makes you an Individual?

-is it by being yourself never betraying who you truly are?
-you do not fear about judgement from others by being yourself?
-are you that one grain of [brown/black/red/etc] rice who still have the vitamins and nutrients within you that you are not a delicacy they call white rice [all "perfect" but without its vitamins and nutrients]?
-you are neither a crab nor a sheep in the society by being a bird who refuses to let the crabs of this society clip his/her wings from achieving their goals.
-you don't take buses that takes you somewhere unexpected and prefers to walk on your own two feet to where you desire to go.

wow talk about answering your own question!
I am not sure there is much to add.
I think the key to being an individual is recognising that in yourself and then taking that into account consciously in every decision that you take. It is when you make choices that you actualise your individuality. Everytime you do so consciously.
