@SW-User I believe it can in the way we look at pain, stress and suffering itself. I am not saying it's a replacement for medicine and treatment but the process itself can be less painful.

@Equanimous But not all diseases are those that originate from the mind. And then no matter how much of a positive attitude you keep, you are still going to be a patient in the hospital.

@SW-User I am not denying that. Positive attitude will not cure, all I was saying is it will allow us to suffer well.

@Equanimous I wonder about that. Can anyone really suffer well when they are in pain? Rhetoric qn.

@SW-User Suffering well is not ignoring the suffering. But the way I look at it is the way we react during suffering. Managing self, moods, how we react to others and how well we accept the current state and not blaming anyone / anything can help. I am trying to understand this too.
