God I feel so bad when I read people censoring them selves because of a few bad apples.
Not sharing things because it's an unpopular topic or opinion is not helping any one.
I do understand most people don't exactly thrive on negative reactions to their posts but it's still sad that a few bad apples can cause someone to not feel like the can express them selves openly here.

That was the entire meaning of EP, which this is a close copy of for lack of a better phrase.
Anonymous so you don't feel like you can't share openly.

Yes, SW IS a place to share and speak your mind.

It's this "subject to interpretation without tone or context" business that's subject to the reader's spiritual proprioception, and seemingly, up for grabs.

People apply their own interpretations to what's said and observed, depending upon where THEY are. So, whatever it is YOU say, can have applied to it any judgment, criticism, praise, be used as fodder for argument, etc.

Some of the most innocent posts I've contributed have been met with harsh negativity and judgment. So, I've learned to pick and choose subject matter very carefully. It's certainly helped me learn to keep my mouth shut.

And yes, this is where we connect or disconnect. I've gotten some pretty snarky comments on some very peaceful posts so I always ask the person if they're being an ass or am I misunderstanding their tone. It's so easy to misunderstand without hearing the tone of voice & seeing facial expressions.

it's the disagreeable way that people disagree that can be a problem.

although I have to say we haven't been as confrontation and hateful as we have been in the past

Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree. I have friends all over the political spectrum. Sometimes we don’t see eye to eye on things……. And that’s okay.
