Is it possible to become completely well rounded?

Like totally healthy in every single aspect of being a human being?

Personally, I don't think it is. At least not in the way that most of us currently live.

I feel like the best one can do is specialize in maybe like 2 or 3 aspects and just try to get by in the rest.

I think to be healthy is possible, to be successful in everything is difficult, unless health equals success to you but I mean to be on the level that others will admire you for it. To be healthy I think all there is to do is do everything in moderation. To be successful you have to dedicate a little more into something that might take away from some other aspect in your life to balance it out.

I think being completely well rounded can be achieved, it's just very time consuming. Basically, striving to achieve it would take all your time. That's not to say anyone shouldn't be striving to improve themselves, and if one wants to use all their time achieving this, they shouldn't be criticized.

@calicuz People have an obsession with being perfect theses days.

That's true. I was thinking more along the lines of bettering one's self without trying to achieve perfection.

But what is 'well rounded'? Or 'Totally healthy'?

I don't think it can be defined, because there will always be something better or more you can do. It will keep shifting goal posts.

But it is very possible to be mindful and getting healthier in all aspects of ones life. Over time.
there is no standard of health. there is your awareness of the state you are in.

awareness of your state of being in a good mood is all you need. You can burn in hell or lie on a cloud in heaven.

he who controls his consciousness controls everything.

The most rare specialists: The well rounded person. That is a quote from the Great Gatsby, I may not have gotten it entirely right.

@JimboSaturn does being well rounded come at the cost of not being exceptionally good at anything in particular?

@Eternity maybe, I'm sure a specialist in one field should be better than you are
