I’ve always lived in the pull of a world that was cut in half.

There’s the part that belongs to the wind and the water and birds and our childhood instincts.

And then there’s the other part where we’re held captive by what people tried to build on top of it and the parts of us they had to kill to make us fit.

If there is anywhere to return to after this life, I want it to be that first place.

There is what has my soul, and what has my body. My mind is the equilibrium that balances who I am vs what's inescapably expected of me in this crap human world. I think on the freedom that awaits when my body and mind are gone. Energy can't be destroyed, but it can be transformed from one form to another, that is what science taught me. And I know what I feel on the wind, when I look at the stars, when I swim in the ocean.
