Do you know phone numbers off the top of your head??

I know mine, my gfs, my mums landline, my in laws landline, my Nannie’s landline although she don’t live there anymore, my work number, I know my managers and one of my drivers for some strange reason and the phone number for the Chinese takeaway restaurant oh yeah and the vets number and the police cuz that’s one easy

@GLITTER @TrunkZ The rotary complicated things so much. Two longs and a short on the crank was easy to remember.

@TrunkZ Yep. The original ones hung on the wall and had a crank instead of a rotary dial. If the person you were calling was on the same system, you could "call" using the assigned combination of long and short cranks. Otherwise you had to go through a switchboard and request who you wanted.

BTW, it has taken me two years to memorize my cellphone number after cutting the landline. I'm fairly confident I have it now, but still hesitate every time someone asks for it.
