I Think a Lot
Words are like wine.
They intoxicate you,
Make you do stupid things.
Their sweetness pours into your brain
and leave you befuddled.
Words are like beer.
Cool and crisp and refreshing
And although sometimes, they don't really taste all that great
And sometimes, they leave a bitter taste in your mouth,
you go back for more.
Words are like tequila, smooth as silk
Foreign, and not all unpleasant
And, before you know it,
You're standing nekkid.
In front of someone you don't even know.
Words are like whiskey..
And not the good stuff...
Harsh and burn
from your lips
to your gut.
Don't be fooled by the Wine...
Whiskey's more honest.
