I know that lots of plans fall through. Name a time when things worked out for you? Even a small thing?

A band I'm in played a gig back in the spring of 2018. That day, as I unloaded my car, my hands were full of heavy equipment and I felt my sunglasses sliding off my face. I couldn't put the heavy stuff down in time and the Ray-Bans took a header right on the pavement. One lens was totally out. Crap. I called my girlfriend to ask her if she knew of any stores near us(we live about 90 mins away).

Picking up the lens from the ground, I put the shades back on, but I looked like I had been in a bar fight. I spoke to the sound guy as I was loading in and he said, "You know....I think there's a shop right across the street". I thought he was joking. Then, I crossed the street and there it was, 500 feet from where my glasses got smashed--a store that sold sunglasses! I couldn't believe it. It had opened two hours ago. The Oakley rep had just left.

Figuring my old glasses were done, I picked out the latest model of Ray-Bans and got a great price on them. The owner then fixed the old pair for free!

This was crazy--I broke a pair of shades across the street from a Ray-Ban store. Unbelievable.

Sometimes, things really do work out.

I did have an outdoor concert that I ent to on July 4 1978. I got blasted the night before and must have lost my ticket in the party outside the gate. Rainbow was featured and wouldn’t you know I knew the ticket collector personally and he let me in!
