Honestly does one have to put everything you do on a social media site

I grew up in a very small town in the Bible Belt. In every week's paper, there was a column dedicated to the goings-on of the locals. It was like Facebook in print form.

"Mrs. Deborah Young visited her grandson on Tuesday, and they had beans and cornbread for lunch."

"Mr. Stephen Hartford purchased a new motorcycle on Friday and has taken several neighbors for a spin, including Miss Jeanne Smith, Mr. Todd Loring, and Ms. Terri Williams."

"Mr. _______ enjoyed a weekend visit with his daughter _______, they dined at the local Sundance Cafe where he had a steak and she had a grilled cheese sandwich." (This one was the actual post made about me and my dad lol)

I guess humans have always been curious about the daily lives of other humans. We are social creatures.

I think for many social media substitute a friend they would normally share these things with.

Some are here, desperate to feel they exist. And some just need to get things off their chests. Its no different to the real world, where some are gossips and some arent..😷
