is there anything wrong with living in the past

because i think these modern times are rubbish, dull, i hate being alive now, so i hark back to the long ago past where my childhood was great and times were good, i cling to the memories of then and basically live in the past, i get a lot of comfort from it.

is this a problem for me you think?

Only if you use it as escapism and avoidance of today's challenges. Those of us who had the advantage of living in simpler times, including simpler values, can provide a lot to the current problems of our society but only if we engage with it and share our experiences, our learnings, our appreciation of past ways while acknowledging the positive advances as well.
