Just did the mistake of reading old texts.

I know it's hard to delete those old texts, but be kind to yourself and do it.

Nostalgia is twisting history into lies

Once deleted, it will be a lot easier to avoid that pitfall

Something similar happened to me a month ago. Found old texts and when I saw one that was just a random message she sent me one noght saying "I love you baby" I broke down as the flood of good memories of everything I missed broke through the emotional dam. I was not okay for sometime after.

Few months ago. I pulled out old text saved from when MSN messager was around. Read the text, like few years of it. I wish i realised sooner that i was blinded on how toxic she really was. Noticed how much playing fire to my emotional she was doing and how it broke me mentally inside. Eventually I decided to delete em.

I would imagine that that can be painful.

But there will be new texts from new people, fresh words, things will move on.

Do something you like the most right away so divert your mind.

It's not worth the pain. Get rid of them.
