Something I've been thinking about
For the past few days, I've been thinking about and reworking a race of orcs I came up with years ago. They were called the Woruxi and they were some sort of wolf-people? I rewrote them as:
They're hunter-gatherer lizard-people who live in the forests of the east of whatever land/continent they live in/on. They have thin lizard-like tails and scales which cover their backs and the outer of their limbs, while their fronts are humanoid-looking. Their legs are similar in layout to a dog's hind legs, with big 'feet' to compensate for their weight, and their heads look like that of a neanderthal. They tend to use short war spears tipped with sharp stone (maybe some sort of metal?). They worship Tzalak, Lord of Flames, as their forests burn in summer, and they see their role in nature to be destruction which allows for rebirth. They don't tend to form organised armies, but instead have large number of tribal warbands loosely united by a Burning Man, a priest of Tzalak. They also have Great Names, earned for overcoming a great foe or saving their tribe from a major threat. The most powerful Woruxi have many Great Names, and they're required to have one to progress into the shamanistic priesthood of Tzalak
