One thing I've noticed about my dreams as an adult...

Is that a lot of them take place in my old neighborhood and town that I grew up in as a kid. Why do you think this is?

So if you end up there after something traumatic in your dream or you feel ok there in your dream it’s like subconsciously that’s where you feel safe.
With me I end up at my nanas house in dreams when something bad has happened in the dream because that was the only safe place for me when I was a child

@Pinklemonade100 Now that you mention it, one time I had a dream where found myself skydiving with no parachute, and I happened to land in a field that I frequently would use a shortcut

I often wonder something similar but opposite. I have dreams that put me in completely unknown places and faces and wonder what was that all about?

My dreams lately have been of familiar places that aren't actually the place. "It was in the basement bedroom of my dad's house".
