"predictive" dreams ... That's a real presupposition right there.
For as far as I'm aware, dreams are just made of random data that is already in your head. It's because they are so weird and can be really vivid and lucid, that people want to attach meaning to it. So far... this idea that dreams have more meaning then just your subconcious fooling around and organising data that is just stuck in your memory hasn't been proven. And thus, I think it's better to disregard it, unless it's a hypothesis that you actively want to pursue. So far, attaching great meanings to them, have been a fools errand.
