Said goodbye to my friend

Think I said goodbye a long time ago when his liver failed. This was a year ago, over that year, I tried do errands for him, it got less and less as time progressed. His state was breaking me down and now he gone to the hospital where my Mum died where he too will die. So, i visited him one last time. The different is ... at least. I was able to say bye. My mom didn't get that opportunity. She died in 2020, pandemic rules... wouldn't even allowed to see her.

I guess it hit me a lot harder than I thought.
