I Don't Like Goodbyes

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

15 years – oh yes that's a long time. I was still a girl when we first met.

You were good to me, and we were good together.
You have never forsaken me.
You got me through the hard times, and the good times.
You've been there when I needed you.

Yes sometimes I've cheated on you, but I always came back, because nothing has ever compared to you.

Whenever there was something wrong with you, I did everything I could do to help.

It's over. It simply doesn't work anymore. Too much damage, beyond repair. I have tears in my eyes. 15 years of love and laughter will go with you, to never come back again.

Farewell, my beloved Levi's 501. You've been beautiful. You've been part of my life for so long, like nothing else. There won't be anything like you again.

I will never forget you but you have to go now.

I’d have lovd to feel the washed thin soft cotton of them over your firm thighs or bum....

@Doug57 I loved my 501s so very much. Throwing them away was like saying "Farewell" to my youth, to the girl that I was when I got them.

@helenS You might not find any quite like them in stores now, but with some luck you might find a vintage pair in a consignment or used clothing place which might be in perfect condition.

@Doug57 As a replacement, I purchased a new pair of 'Hugo Boss' blue jeans. "Candiani Denim", "finest Italian fabric stretch", for EUR 150 (!). They are good, they are very good, but they are not the same. Nothing will ever be the same.
😔

@helenS I’d love to see an image of them on you, even with face turned or omitted for anonymity

@helenS Somehow, in life, nothing ever does seem the same as the fondest memories from our youth...life was simpler and clearer then...but the world marches on, and we make new, equally satisfying memories...hopefully!!!
