The invisibilty of age

You never think of it when youre young.

Never think how one day people just wont 'see' you.

We never even think how we dont see older people.... because we never notice them.

And when we do, its with some kind of unattractiveness that we naturally shy away from due to our own fears of losing youth.

Yet, think of the inner strength one must need to be older. To lose all that depended upon by youth:
- Physical attraction
- Physical ability
- connection to popular culture
- the vibrancy and flippancy that comes with 'time yet to spare'.

Do you have the strength to age beyond these things?
To lose these traits that appeal to others and are social commodities?

What would you do if you lost them tomorrow?

Do you have all those other traits and strengths that are needed to age with grace and confidence?

When i wrote this, i really didn't think others would respond. Its not flippant and fun and typical of here.

I just wanna say " THAN YOU 🤗 to everyone who did.

Its nice to engage in deeper conversations that have meaning. To really SEE others and their minds.

I loved this 🤗🤗🤗

@OogieBoogie I'm really glad I read through it. Stuff we usually don't address.
My post is not together at the moment...as...my mind is not with me just now.
It's been one of those days. Again. Tomorrow ought to be a different one.
