Csn you get electrocuted by a loose light socket?

I rent.

Light blew, got a new one , but when i went to change it , the light socket literally just twisted around.
And when i gave it a push (as you do with bayonet bases) it just slid up into the light batten.

I mean, i could turn off the circuit, but i looked in the breaker box....amd this place is so old all the lables have faded and i cant tell which is which.

And our landlord is shit at commiting to fixing stuff

Don't touch it!!!

Put a floor or table lamp in there for now.

I read below that it's a lawyer - so I suggest your send a written notice that it's an unsafe condition - to please repair it ASAP - lawyers don't like having exposure like that..
@fun4us2b you know, that's exaclty what i did yesterday. Usually i ring them, but this time im doing it the 'leave a trail way'. I have about three repairs still waiting to happen.
And rhe last repair was done so cheaply to the gate - its now slipped down and is dragging again .
Its real sjame really, this place has the potetial yo be really nice.... but its jist falling to pieces.

@OogieBoogie Keep at it - ultimately they're fixing their own property - I just do not understand landlord mentality - it's almost like they are a certain type of person....
