I am not an "either/or" person

Life is nuanced and complex.

Either/or thinking is a common symptom of cognative distortion, something I have not been diagnosed with.

If anything, despite what people may think, i usually spend my time thinking about why people are the way they are, how they view the world, why they think the way they do. I spend a large part of my mental time putting myself in other people's shoes.

I also take in new information and consider it, learn about it and include it in my ways of thinking.

So if I make a post that offends you because you think i am being close minded, that's on you and how you really don't know me.

The bst way to be - oh that others were as open-minded and prepared to comprehend why people believe as they do, even if not always agreeing.

One might add though that sometimes I think people with very set, closed views on something, could not explain themselves why they hold those views.
