Two cats brings different challenges. First, the "honeymoon" phase of introducing a second cat into your relationship. Usually not all sweetness and light, as each will have territorial rights issues. Second, even after they have worked out their relationship issues, they are unlikely to work in tandem together. My two seldom want to share the bed with me at the same time. And when they do (usually because something is making them feel insecure or they are playing kiss-up after irritating me), it is usually a case of me in the middle to separate them, and them continually scissoring in from opposite sides, like I am in a vise.
