Are we blinding ourselves with thinking about human rights when the victims of crime never had theirs respected?

If you do something outside of the law why does the law first need to ensure your rights are protected? Surely by going outside of the laws you show no concern for the law and you become an outlaw and must be treated that way, otherwise every person killed in war is also protected by law and the victors need to be prosecuted for their disrespect for the law??
Explain the concepts…..

because of due process. you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. at the time of trial punishment can be dished out if there even is a conviction. War has its own rules and war crimes do often get punished.

@Rokan But where is the protection for the community between when the perpetrator is arrested for the first offence, and finally proven guilty? Look at the number of people who are committing more crimes while out on bail..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman that has nothing to do with what i said or my point. Vote in better representation that is going support what your community wants. Protest in the street to let them know your dissatisfaction, write your congressman, control the naritive with your votes... get the laws changed for stronger punishments. Get laws changed so bail isnt so cheap.

@Rokan All great ideas and I agree with them. But in the meantime, the victims still dont get justice and the criminals repeat while the system lets them repeat..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman due process is too important for civiliazation. Bail is a seperate variable. A fair and speed trial is a right and the courts need to do better at that.

@Rokan Again, we agree. But it still leaves the victim with no justice. Taking a hypothetical: If a couple of kids break into my home and I catch them, I am better off cancelling them outright than calling the police and handing them over.. Of course, thats wrong of me to do it. But if I dont, they will be out on bail the next day and angry at me..Why should I be the one in fear?😷
