It's funny what you learn

Back in college, I took a logical and critical thinking class. It was actually part of my path to a degree.

I hated that class. I hated every minute of it. It was at 7:30 am, the teacher was dry and boring. He reminded me of this character in a book I had read who was draining the life force out of a child, because he had a large sore on his nose, like the character when he had picked the child as his victim.

Much like physics, when I took the class, none of the principles made any sense. Now that I have not been in that class, I realize now that I actually did, but the stress of tests and student performance hindered my ability to understand it then.

So when people say I'm not thinking "logically", I laugh. Because the first thing i always remember is the process of logical thinking:

All insects have 6 legs.
Spiders have 8 legs.
Therefore, spiders aren't insects.

This is literally the same logic I proposed this morning with my God is a cell post. I even broke it down logically in the same format as above.

I was told I had zero logic in my assertation.

I gave you my logic path. They gave me nonsense.

I don't know how else to deal with that. Lol

How is logical and critical thinking class boring ?
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Monalisasmith86 It wouldn't be now. Back when I was 17 and it was not related to what I was studying, but was a mandatory class, it was boring.
All insects have 6 legs.
Spiders have 8 legs.
Therefore, spiders aren't insects.

Whaaa?

Some people simply do not get logic and reason.

Perhaps the "They" who gave you nonsense, were trying to hide their inability to follow logical arguments, and with it their inability to agree or disagree by reasoned arguments.
