Spooky Stories

The place I work has several abandoned buildings. Some as old as the 1920s. Several of them we have to traverse to get to various valves and assorted steam lines. Dark creepy old buildings. Open to the elements and still full of machinery and equipment. Rusting away. Several deaths have occurred here over the years. Many gruesome dismemberments. Caught in the machines or literally cooked to death in a steam burst. One larger building in particular is known for its paranormal problems. Half the shift engineers wont go in there alone. Always take a coworker and a good flashlight. I have heard singing in there. Heard clanking of tools on the rusting steel Foot steps behind me. Seen something crawling up a wall one night. Fast scurrying with too many legs and arms. Much bigger than a normal human. The second you get near that place it raises the It has a sound effect kind of thing going on in there. Its a loud industrial plant I work at. So loud that earplugs are required in most of it. You step in there and things go quiet. Almost silent. The air just feels thicker. My senior coworker swears something bit him in that building. Left a scar on his chest and belly and down across his back. The bite mark was over a foot in diameter. Two seperate onsite security guards have quit because of things happening outside that building. Even the seagulls and crows that are all over the whole facility seem to avoid that building.
Tonight theres only 2 of us here. Couple guys took the night off. I had to send my coworker in that building to close a big valve. That was about 45 minutes ago. Wont answer his radio

I believe ghosts exist. I can get a very strange feeling that comes over me when I'm in areas reported to be haunted or to have patanormal activity. I've had numerous inexplicable experiences over the years. The weirdest happened in historic Savannah, GA. I went into an older building that had been converted into a coffee shop. That strange feeling I get was very strong inside the shop. As I was paying for the coffee I ordered, I noticed a frail, elderly woman standing at the counter next to me, holding a very old cane with a purple crystal handle. I looked over at her and she glared back at me. With her cane planted on the floor, she shook the purple crystal handle. I turned away for a moment to get some cream and sugar for my coffee. When I turned back a few seconds later, the elderly woman was gone. No one had helped her, and I don't remember anyone saying anything to her. I looked around the coffee shop and even outdoors on the street. She couldn't have gone far, but seemed to vanish without a trace.

I believe in ghosts and spirits...for sure

Can't say, I believe in ghosts, but in researching string theory there may be some basis for what you are seeing. We live in a 3-dimensional world. (4 if you count time) String theory suggests there are as many and 11 dimensions. It is very difficult for use to image all the possibilities that suggests. (Feel free to add something positive and informed comments. I block negative people.)

Sure, but nothing as scary as encounters with plain old human beings.

I don’t know if this is scary but one night I had a very vivid dream about a group of people dressed like clowns (sort of like Joker in Dark Knight) and they were armed and took over my high school. I told the dream in detail to my best friend and she started recalling details from her side of it and we realized we both had the exact same dream at the exact same time.

Love spooky stories. I grew up in an old fishing town with loads of ghost stories. Others had seen ghosts supposedly but I didn’t. My neighbour thought she saw one but it was a tarp on the school roof that wasn’t tied down.
