I tried but then he started to make me feel bad by saying that "you are rich, why would you like to talk to me because i live in gutter....... Etc etc etc" sometimes i feel like I'm acting like a bitch and other times i feels like I'm a big emotional fool.

I doubt you're likely to hurt his feelings !
Just tell him he needs to stop because he's not looking forward, he's clinging to the past.
