Welcome to the club! Us straight men have been attending these seminars for years, except our version is being indirectly told that we're only interested in women who are immature, shallow, and have the moral standards of a Netflix reality show.

Apparently, wanting a genuine conversation with a woman is just a suspicious activity until proven otherwise.
You want to get to know someone? Hidden agenda.
You want an intelligent conversation? You're playing games.
You show interest? You're desperate.
You don't? You're emotionally unavailable.

Honestly, I think some of us need to stop having conversations and start submitting formal applications, complete with police clearance, three references, and a sworn affidavit confirming that we are, in fact, capable of holding a conversation without trying to get into someone's pants

It can really be upsetting when you’re misunderstood for your words, actions or intentions. But this is the internet. It could be difficult to express ourselves properly without other people judging us based on their perceptions.

Unfortunately there is a whole lot of discrimination of all types going on.
