Working my way to understand people...

Surprisingly, I don't understand people. I mean not really. And I don't think I have understood them ever and that more than the controversy over whether I exhibit social anxiety or not (I don't think I do), that is what is the main issue... my main issue. There is so much complexity to know how to act in every random situation. It's almost infinite.

It's not like math where there is a formula or a set of rules to follow. And even with those rules there is so much about math that you can't understand, not every aspect of it. But I want to understand all angles of how people function. I realize (at least now) it just can't come down to a formula, so I need to figure out a different way to understand people.

Maybe I won't ever learn how to not be awkward in groups of people, but I think I can come closer to feeling less awkward than I am now. The thing is I have made quite a bit of progress, but I'm not there yet. Maybe I will never become an expert in this one area. So that's the challenge... in a good way. It's something to work towards.

You can see there are sixteen personality types if you take the Myers-Briggs test to determine yours. Some people are naturally introverted and find spending prolonged periods of time in group activities draining.
