What is friendship anymore?

When they thought technology would bring us together, it just made it easier for us all to stay away. We turned off genuine feeling and communication and traded it for fake emotions. We only turn it back on again when we have to, when we feel the need to get out and see people, or when work calls. You can tell me I’m wrong, but the world really has changed, and it will continue to go this direction until we get tired of it…which I doubt will happen for most. I am ready for the shift back to reality.

It's up to us how to use technology. Recently, I was surprised to have caught up with people (1-on-1 talks while doing exercise together) only to realize we share the same sadness. But being each other's companion certainly helps make us feel better about our own selves and about life and how we face the future.

So yeah, technology is alright. But relying too much and locking oneself in it is basically killing life. So go out. See people. Talk under the stars. Listen to cricket songs. Watch kids fly kites. Those things that are simple and not at all costly, but are infinitely more precious than diamonds.
