Please don't use this as an opportunity to bash Sadiq khan. I'm more interested in the housing issue.

Looks like a flat or home is 600k gbp in London area. That sound about right? I see some crazy places for sale too, like a penthouse for 70m gbp.. its nearly 10,000 sq feet though. Hah.
The pricing is on par with Vancouver Canada, although apartments around here may be cheaper, you will have to pay monthly strata fees which is like paying a loan on top of your loan.
Yea, everyone can live in their cars I guess.
supply and demand innit?

same in Oz 🇦🇺

1500 migrants a day.
they dont build 1500 houses a year...
People can't really afford new homes. The ten percent of the population that can live indoors and serve in jobs, already does. Not all construction workers will survive. There's room for ten percent of the population in the new cleansed West.

@Roundandroundwego ok noone can afford new builds because they're affectively the same as financing a car.
You feel like you own it but your still paying for it. Hmm... Odd that isn't it.
Anyways consequently these are unattainable unless you earn 58k+ and grabbing a freehold is also tricky because well they are snapped up at an exceptional rate by cash buyers.
@Mellowgirl the system leaves me living in a truck, like a lot of old people. It's working as designed. Our population is getting up the nerve to occupy all the cities and kill off the poor while voting as the entire country from the rural areas. The poor will be contained and removed. Them they'll be prosperous again.

No one can afford to live in London.

@V00doo it's ridiculous isn't it.
I'm officially at a point in my life where I'm just like, what the actual hell is really going on.
I knew things were bad.
I had hoped that things would have improved but with Brexit and COVID and this cost of living, life is looking incredibly bleak.

It's sad especially as I have little ones now.
But there's a massive part of me that feels like this will have to all implode and reset.
@Mellowgirl I think covid was the implosion. This is the aftermath
