I'm feeling this.
And a guy I was working with today told me covid killed his father 3 weeks before he was to retire.
On a positive note my father was able to enjoy 23 years of retirement and had quality of life til his final days. And you seem to be enjoying yours.

@robingoodfellow I have been lucky enough to have 12 years and got to enjoy eight of them with my wife.
That's my only option. Until day I close my eyes for last time. I will always have someone dependent on me ( daughter) not working will never be an option

I think that'll be my only option the way things are going

@ScreamingFox I see much the same with my son and daughter unless I avoid a nursing home and they can inherit enough to change their status.
Im trying so hard to not get to this.

@V00doo I made it but I see more people that won’t. Living paycheck to paycheck and not being able to save.

Most employers will still require a doctor's note.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Crazywaterspring Or a two weeks notice of your demise.

@SageWanderer Then they'll require you train your replacement on the last day.
🤔 Gotta say it does look comfy as heck!
