Ok folks, i'll be logging out and only going to my pinned post for the rest of July and most of August

I know this doesn't matter to anyone, but i'm still excited and need to devote my undivided attention to Plato, and this post is just to impart some closing thoughts on this venture i hope lasts for the rest of my life.

The official inclusion of Plato is confirmation of a plan that hasn't just sprouted out of nowhere, all my learning is connected, some things are only connected in a highly unique and personal way, but with Plato it's connected temporally and geographically with my previous official inclusions of the presocratics, and Stoicism, all things ancient, and all things philosophical.

I do tend to favor the Western canon more than the Eastern, and with Western philosophy Plato is huge!!

Other isms are semi included, Skepticism, Cynicism, Epicureanism, etc, when i was new on internet forums i'd always mention those isms as being formulative to how i see things, but my grasp of them is extremely naive, however it is a broad field i wish to spend copious amounts of time each day with.

Beginning the Cambridge Companion i am struck by how much it's like a shopping list with all the volumes cited in the footnotes, LOTS of footnotes, and i shall be completing my W.K.C Guthrie's History of Greek Philosophy within the next couple months, volume 5 is close to 100 bucks though, i'd like to see that price drop a little, 4 and 5 deal with Plato, but i have everything up to 3 which deals with Socrates.

I made one last purchase, the 90 dollar collected dialogues from Princeton, published in the early 60s, for classic translations, and to have a distinguished complete works on the Kobo, the Hackett complete works is nowhere to be found for Kobo :(

With just Plato the extent of his influence and the scholarship is dizzying, and being a born collector, it's a dream come true, i shall have to pace my spending though, currently i have about 230 that i will not use on the credit card, with 24 dollars in savings, plus i will have 60 in cash to get gummies for the next 28 or so days.

These 28 days (sounds like a zombie flick, eh) will be spent logged out of SW, but listening to my pinned post's sounds and music while reading and sleeping, my computer is literally always on!! In a document, i shall store away notes and ruminations which i may publish sometime here to prove that i've been doing what i said i'd be doing, and if it so please Zeus, some young ambitious person here may feel like Plato or anything i talk about may be something they'd like to pursue in depth, and that person(s) would go on to publish a forthcoming paper that will revolutionize that field, and in a tiny little footnote somewhere in it, the author would mention in passing that this was all brought on by some goofy middle aged person on a not so serious website.

I hope the rest of your summer treats you all well, see you all sometime in the Autumn maybe, as a slightly more learned fellow, who as this sort of learning goes will mean actually more humble, and more careful and circumspect in his verbal communication mannerisms.
