I drink bottled water that's been in our garage for 3 years to prove to my family that it's still good. It disgusts them.
I drank 10-year-old water that I had stored in jugs and put in the crawl space in case of an emergency, it was still good, you have to taste it before you start guzzling.

@JohnnySpot theres no way i would do that. My water goes straight from the store to the fridge. I store cases for hurricane season indoors in a hall closet.

@AngelUnforgiven Yes you do not want any spirogyra or any other single cell organisms in your drinking water any contaminant will make the water go bad.
