Something about my room I don't understand.

I've slept on my couch the past few nights because I can't sleep in my room lately. In there I'll wake up with panic attacks, have nightmares or even sleep paralysis episodes. I've yet to experience those things on the couch which is why I've been camping out there lately. Today I'd look down the hall towards my room and just feel incredibly nauseous and anxious like I'm afraid to go in there. Truthfully I only have been going in there during the day to get what I need then I swiftly exit. Eventually I'll have to try to make myself go back to sleeping in there because the couch is giving me back issues but I'm not sure if I'm ready to try again.

I think your body is right. There could be something harming you. Any chance for gas leak? Mold somewhere on the wall or something forgotten in a box (I once put moist walnuts into a glass dose and forgot about them and couldn't figure out why I felt like suffocating)
Something possibly triggering allergy?
Wrong mattress or pillow messing with your breathing?
Isn't there too warm in the room?

@CrazyMusicLover Mold could be a factor I live in an older apartment building maybe there's something in the walls.
