How do you know when your old?

How do you know you've hit the stage where your finally old....
When being able to find the tums is the best thing ever at the moment.
It's 1230... I want to be sleeping and I'm needing tums... What has happened in my life that this feels too late and grease has me needing tums....
Anyone else or just me?

Not at 31-35, that’s for certain.

@bijouxbroussard True, and even my age may not be old now, but some feelings I felt when I was within 31-35 are feelings I understand better than when I was 21-25. It's a progressive scale.
@SW-User I felt "older", yes, but I knew I wasn’t old as such. There were still so many in my life who were older.

@bijouxbroussard Yes, and I have those older in my life too. I know you do too, and from them we are eternally young or needing to listen to them in their wisdom we are probably going to learn in our own way.
@SW-User More and more I find myself having the experience of being the oldest person in various settings. I’m grateful to still have my father, but a large number of my friends haven’t lived to be the age I am now (64).

@bijouxbroussard I'm sure that's disconcerting, and I'm sure age comes with some kind of grace, but we are always on our own when faced with our age and finitude. I worry, though, while a long time away for me still, how will I feel when I reach the age of my father when he died?
