The idea behind needing a father figure to become functioning members of society is outdated

I see it a lot online, some kid becomes a juvenile delinquent, some woman becomes an escort, a group of teens/adults steal a lot of items from a convenience store and the first assumption made is they don’t have a father. What’s outdated about it is even though It might be true for some, it’s not for others. Everyone is born and raised in different environments facing different outcomes. Some people come from a loving household raised by both parents and still become sh!tty, convicts, abusers, manipulators, mass murderers, etc. while others don’t. Some people are raised by a single mother and stay out of trouble, with others don’t. I think at the end of the day it depends on the individual.
