I eschew vulgar profanity of that genre. It degrades both the speaker and the one(s) being spoken to.

Limited in vocabulary
DrWatson · 70-79, M
It is not routinely used among my family, friends, and work colleagues.
I am not saying it is unheard of, but when someone uses it, it is usually quite consciously in order to be emphatic.

It's just a word now, most people are desensitised to it.
I don't take it personally and if I ever use it on rare occasions, its as an emphasis.

Hate it.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
I use it sometimes and I don't like that I do. I get sick of hearing it and some people can't talk without using it. Language skills in general are down.
Lostpoet · M
I blame that Dang rap music

Piper · 61-69, F
It is not a word I use lightly or often, at all. No one I know well personally does either, as far as I know.
When I use it, it is quite consciously...and rare.

@Piper I respect that. I respect people who swear only rarely, because when they do, everybody shuts up and pays attention.
Piper · 61-69, F
@LordShadowfire A word like that loses the intended impact, I think, unless used rarely.
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
i hate saying the word, but admittedly do in times of anger/frustration..i think the people who use the word regularly/commonly are degenerates really..times have changed and children -youth don't live by the same standards that me or my grandparents held.
TheStranger · M
@darkmere1983 I cannot believe how that word has become the norm .But as you say there are no standards in the world today..And that goes for life in general. There is no respect what so ever in the world today ..
Lilymoon · F
I like saying it. It runs the gamut of all the emotions. And it's just an all around great word. 😀
Wiseacre · F
Someone on here said swears are 😈 how can a word be 👿? Just a word, not a deed!
Convivial · 26-30, F
It's just a word... How you interpret it is in your hands, and like anything, over use is boring and often an indication of poor vocabulary
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Convivial I absolutely agree. I'm pretty free with my profanity, but when people can't express themselves without cussing every other word, I begin mentally deducting IQ points.
Wiseacre · F
It’s just a word...it easily rolls off the tongue..I use it, but not too much!
the best way to express your thoughts is exactly what they are
Iwillwait · M
I'm sorry, I use foul language too much and need to stop. 😞
DerSilberneKonig1 · 22-25, M
because it's the most relatable and versatile word there is for almost, if not every occasion, and context gives words meaning, fuck isn't a bad word simply because it exists.

Not in my circle. It’s still considered pretty impolite.
Atlotto · M
I personally don't like the word.
'F-ck' isn't a word. 'Fuck' is, though.

It happens. People get desensitized to words the previous generation considered unacceptable. There was a time when saying hell and damn would have gotten you dirty looks.
