My daughter and al gore
My daughter is 14 and i heard her wrong. I thought she was talking about al gore. She was not making any sense. Then i realized that i heard her wrong.

Then admit that you're wrong(mentally) and try to listen carefully to her next time, you don't need to say sorry to her since you're a parent but show that you are sorry by doing the latter. So in this case she will feel that you care for without indication of lowering your authority to her
