@IamCuriousBabe Except anyone can report anyone. For the pettiest of reasons. Anyone can make enemies without having done anything particularly wrong. It's better if you block or mute people who you personally dislike than to trust some random people's reports, what are you afraid of?

@Queendragonfly Granted. Anyone can report. But do you recall that there are options and a place to comment additional info that would warrant validation? That ticker isn't going to come from any singular instance of being reported. They are validated reports. This particular information is useful to me because I do try to screen folks who just randomly message. Some users can seem nice to you but nasty to others.

@IamCuriousBabe If you're this worried, isn't it easier to just disable dms? I'm sorry but this seems a bit extreme.

To give an example.

I can talk to you and report you based on my feelings and perception of you. I can report your last comment if I want to. Flag it as discrimination attitude. Hating behaviour or whatever else I want.

If you say that's valid, what if I ask 20 of my friends in here to report you to support me?

Would you still think it's valid that everyone suddenly ignores you on this site all based on rumors and seeing your 20+ reports, though you've done nothing wrong?

Is that really the type of hostile vibe you want for this site?

@Queendragonfly I won't have any problem with that at all. Like I said, they are going to be validated. I believe that a system, though it allows for free expression, should also make us consider what it means to do so within community standards. Now if your (your can mean anyone) standards are 'Karen' standards, then report however often you want. It's not hostile, it's what would help make people be more considerate of what they are saying.

@MsSwan Maybe? But that hasn't deterred me from using the site even during my EP days. I know I belong.

@IamCuriousBabe It's not an enhancement, it makes no sense. What difference does it make if a person's been reported 1 time or 20 times? One time is enough isn't it?
