Do you do the emotional labor for others in your life?

I have to catch myself from dropping all my stuff on my close friend that listens to me when I’m struggling. She doesn’t seem to mind, and I do the same for her, but I have noticed lately that I’ve had more to vent about. I feel like women do most of the emotional labor for men because we don’t open up with each other as much as we do with women. Not everyone though, obviously.
