What good is a background check if you don't have a criminal background.

And you threaten to kill people in your past but everyone dismisses it as a "childhood" tantrum and then gets you guns anyways? I usually wouldn't say this but since the father is so dismissive he needs to go to prison too. Normally I'd feel bad for a family that has to deal with what happened but since he's so cold something obviously isn't right with the family.

Two things here. Twice the police came to this young man's residence for psychotic behavior.

1) his father knowing this still sponsored the little nutjob
2) The fact that uncharged calls do not show on a background check is a serious flaw in the purpose of law enforcement. True for gun sales and true as just a general rule.

The father, gun activists, and authorities will claim there was nothing in his record to show concern. Yet the article shows that there most certainly was.
