Thoughts on Jordan Peterson?

I've liked him for a few years now but am curious to know if anyone else on this site does.

If you know who he is, what do you think of him?

@AdaXI her recent twitter ban is what brought this question to mind

@SW-User Seriously I don't mind them they make a lot of good points, no don't agree with absolutely everything (who do you agree with 100%?) but he's at least asking the questions putting ideas forward as to what is going wrong in society at the moment.

I mean given all the gender identity issue thing I do genuinely understand where is is coming from and the fact it is nothing more than a political tool in a place like America. Gay people think they are transgender etc. Like people think we are all here just telling people we are female when really it's not the case I fit into society perfectly fine.... Or I did until left - right politics got in the way started telling everyone what they should or shouldn't think love. I mean the extreme left and right in politics are equally just as dangerous.

So yeah going a bit over board here LOLZ! But no I don't mind him love.

And I know that merely broaches on some of his discussions I just mean he makes good points you can sorta say well yeah he's got a point there whether he's exactly right isn't really the point it's just understanding discussing what is going on right now in the world we can't just keep going the way we are.

I prefer him to Richard Dawkins anyway as a deep thinker.

@AdaXI really not a fan of Dawkins lol.

I appreciate your perspective on Peterson though

@AdaXI I'll always miss Hitchens 😭but agree with you on Peterson > Dawkins

@SW-User I prefer Peter Hitchens to his brother. He can oversimplify things a bit but his points are rational and could be practical if only people would listen

Yeah Dawkins no not a big fan tbh, but yeah I use him as a very general comparison as he floats around those sociology themes, although yeah he's more centred on religion as being his big thing.

Again I get him in some senses but he just seems so hell bent on the out and out destruction of religion rather than just banging his points on the table and then leaving people to form their own views points.

I mean there's this sorta arrogance about the guy that I really can't stand.

@SW-User Oh and sorry I was meant to say Christopher Hitchen, I know who he was but admittedly I've never really spent anytime reading his work or getting my head around his ideas yet x
