I Like to Be Alone With My Thoughts Sometimes

Actually a lot. Probably too much. I just like my me-time and I don't spend a lot of time with people. I rarely go out and I get grief for it all the time.

Even my dad (who used to joke that I wasn't allowed to date until I'm 35), now tells me that it's okay to go out and blow off steam sometimes. He doesn't understand that I prefer to sit with my thoughts.

And then I see this and think, wow, this could be me someday...

Sounds like you're a bit of a homebody. But there's nothing wrong with that! I prefer to keep myself entertained at home than go out and about most of the time myself. But I wouldn't worry about you ending up like Joyce Vincent. She died from an asthma attack and remained undiscovered for so long because of a number of assumptions made by her friends, family and apartment personnel.
@Carver wow, it just blows my mind that this story is actually true ... i just assumed when i saw it that it was fake, but you're the second person that knows the story.

yeah, i don't think this would actually be me, because i have family that seems obsessed with talking to me every day even when we are separated. but still ... yeah, i like occupying myself better than going out to any large gathering of people.

@IAmJess It is a pretty crazy story. You should read up on it, that woman has a pretty interesting history as well.

I'm glad you're close with your family but yeah, don't ever let anyone tell you it's wrong being a homebody. Being more outgoing is overrated.
@Carver thanks for that because i do get grief for it a lot.

@IAmJess Me too. People should worry about their own lives.
